Death toll in a road accident involving a Toyota Sienta which happened this morning at Bwanali along the Kasungu-Lilongwe M1 road has risen to 4.
Kasungu Police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Kachikho, one of the two victims who were rushed to the hospital has died taking the tally to 4.
The car was travelling from Mzimba with people who were to attend a tombstone unveiling ceremony at Bua.
The driver of the sienta is said to have been over-speeding and he attempted to overtake another vehicle.
