Member of Parliament for Mangochi South West Shadrick Namalomba, is in hot soup after Parliament secretariat played a recorded audio of him to confirm if he had indeed made a statement that he could be killed in the same way the Vice President was allegedly killed.
Jacob Hara, the Chief Whip of the government side, asked Namalomba to withdraw his statement and provide evidence for his allegations.
After playing the audio, Namalomba is heard saying, “Mutha kundipha ngati munaphera Saulos,” which translates to “You can kill me like you killed Saulos.”
Namalomba then questioned what exactly he was being accused of.
However, the Speaker of Parliament insisted that Namalomba should withdraw his statement.
“You either withdraw your statement or provide evidence,” said Hara.
Jacob Hara further stated, “I want him to withdraw what he said about ‘tinapha Saulosi.'”
In response, Namalomba said he has withdrawn all of his statements.
