Church of God held it’s annual general meeting at it’s headquarters katundu village at Goliati in Thyolo on Sunday, 1st September, 2024.
Over three hundred people from some parts of the Southern Region as well the Pastors fraternal representative from Thyolo district attended the event.
Apart from reflecting on how the church has performed since its establishment in the 1970’s they also had time to pray for the nation, against the rising number of accidents, economic hardships and natural disasters calamity due to the impact of climate change.
The church’s national director, Dr Kingsley Makwale described this year’s annual general meeting as successful.
Among other activities were women’s seminar which was facilitated by gospel musician Phalyce Mang’nda.
And the women were tough on how to be strong in times of challenges and the during the youth seminar the young ones were encouraged to be vibrant on things of the Lord and also to be good citizens of the country and never allow to be used by politicians to inforce violence during the campaign period as the country will have elections next year.
The host Bishop Hildar Mandanda and a representative of repentance Malawi ministries Rev Dr Edward Mokwamba also preached during the event.
The theme for this year’s AGM was ‘ Lord remember me once again’ taken from the book of Judges 16 verse 28.
