Police in Rumphi have arrested a 41-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing various belongings from women in the maternity ward at Rumphi General Hospital.
Spokesperson for Rumphi Police Noe Kamchenga has confimed the arrest and he has identified the suspect as Mwiza Gondwe.
According Kamchenga, the suspect was also arrested in the same case on the 18th of July and she was on bail to await the day of the trial.
This woman has been stealing pots, pans, flour and other goods all these times said Kamchenga.
It is reported that, the woman has the act of using fake names when get caught as first time the woman lied to police that she was Grace Chisambi, a 41-year-old from Chirwa village Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe in Rumphi.
But after conducting an investigation, the police found out that the woman is Mwiza Gondwe, 41 years old, from the village of Scort Mhango T/Af Mthwalo in Mzimba.
Mwiza Gongwe, will soon appear in court where she will answer the case.
