Three men suspected of being part of a vehicle theft syndicate were arrested in Roodepoort on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024, by a team of South African Police Service and Private Security Company members.
The arrest followed intelligence reports of a group involved in stealing motor vehicles in Gauteng Province.
The suspects, driving an Audi A3 sedan with false plates, were intercepted in Little Falls, Roodepoort.
Upon searching the vehicle and suspects, the team found military-grade jammers, electronic devices used in vehicle theft, and multiple false registration plates.
The suspects are linked to several vehicle theft cases in Gauteng.
