ZAMBIA – Mutale Winfridah, a 39-year-old senior executive at ZANACO Bank in Zambia, has been dismissed following allegations of engaging in sexual relationships with over 200 men, including clients and job seekers.
The bank took action after more than ten men filed formal complaints, claiming that Winfridah exploited her high-ranking position to initiate these relationships under the pretense of offering job opportunities and facilitating loan approvals.
Witnesses reported that she used her influence to gain trust, leading individuals to believe their personal connections could result in professional benefits.
Bank officials determined that her actions not only damaged the institution’s reputation but also breached ethical standards expected of banking professionals.
Despite the scandal, Winfridah has remained unmarried and reportedly focused on her academic pursuits before considering starting a family.
The situation has left other employees at ZANACO Bank concerned about the potential negative impact on their work environment.
