A 29-year-old Sayini Banda has been fined K100,000 for beating his wives with a brick after they refused to follow him to the bedroom to sleep with him.
This incident occurred shortly after Banda arrived home from prayers. The government representative in the case, Mussa Samuteni, told the Nkhunga Court in Nkhotakota that Banda’s wife had stated that she would follow him to the bedroom only after finishing cooking.
“This did not please Banda, who began to beat his wives on the head with a brick,” Samuteni informed the court.
As of now, Banda has paid the fine, but if he had failed to do so, he would have faced the possibility of one year in prison for the assault charge.
