Engineer Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka has officially announced his plans to join frontline and has expressed interest to contest for Presidency in the United Transformation Movement (UTM).
Mtumbuka announced this at media briefing currently underway at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.
He says being someone who has worked in the corporate sector in different countries and delivered positive results, he will ensure that the citizens collectively build a nation that works for all citizens.
Dr Mtumbuka says time has come for Malawi to start implementing the ideas it makes which will help it develop and help its citizens thrive .
He has also described the late former vice president Saulos Chilima as the best president the country never had.
Mtumbuka has since promised to continue where Chilima stopped.
