One of the Presidential Aspirants in the United Transformation Movement (UTM) Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka is today scheduled to hold a media briefing in the capital Lilongwe ahead of the party’s elective conference slated for November this year.
Mtumbuka, a friend to late UTM President Dr. Saulos Chilima, is scheduled to openly declare his interest to join front line politics.
The Engineer will face the party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati, former Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor Dalitso Kabambe and former Minister of Energy Newton Kambala at the elective conference.
Mtumbuka will face a strong opposition in the party as he is regarded as an outsider.
But Mtumbuka has vowed to fulfill the dreams of Chilima, former state Vice President.
