Lingadzi Police Station has arrested Tambulayi Zemkumana ,30, and Owen Matemba, 28, for allegedly stealing assorted items including electronic gadgets from motor vehicles.
Lingadzi Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Constable Maria Kumwenda said on 7 September 2024 at around 14:00 hours the station received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle Mazda Demio at Area 47, where assorted items and cash amounting to K 85 000 were stolen.
The criminals then proceed to Area 10, where they also broke into motor vehicle and went away with two Lenovo tablets valued at six hundred thousand kwacha.
Following intelligence gathering, the station’s detectives arrested the suspects who were using a Toyota Vitz car, registration number DZ 6158.
The law enforcers have also recovered all the stolen items.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to answer applicable charges.
Tambulayi Zemkumana (Windeki) hails from  Kaphala village in Traditional Authority Kaphika in Dedza from , while Owen Matemba hails from kambuku 2 in Traditional Authority Makwangwala in Ntcheu.
