Manice Hale, a niece to former President Peter Mutharika has backed the firing of Member of Parliament for Nsanje Lalanje as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Director of Elections for attending a rally organised by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

In a statement released yesterday by DPP spokesperson Shadric Namalomba, Mutharika has appointed Ganda as Presidential Advisor.

However, Namalomba could not give reasons for the changes.

But writing on her official facebook page, Manice, popularly known as Manice Abiti William Wawood said Ganda’s is to blame for her firing.

She wrote: “Director of Elections DPP: “Bwana mwatibweresela zitukuko. Chaka chamawa kuli zisankho ndipo timayang’ana zitukuko zomwe munthu wapanga.”

“Apapa she was endorsing Chakwera and telling her constituency to vote for Chakwera chaka cha mawa.”

“She could have just said “Zikomo bwana president mwatipasa chitukuko, Mulungu akudalitseni” The moment she mentioned about the consequences of elections, being the head of Elections in DPP, she was compromised.

“Enanu muona ngati awachosa chifukwa anapita ku msonkhano wa a president kapena anayamikila a president no, it’s what she said, and that was wrong!!!!”.

Ganda is yet to comment on the matter.
