The Mchinji Senior Resident Magistrate Court, has sentenced a 51 year old, James Bolodala Saulosi to 15 years imprisonment for having sexual intercourse with his seven year old granddaughter.

According to Mchinji Police spokesperson, Limbani Mpinganjira the victim’s grandmother caught her husband in the act.

“Saulosi tried to silence the case by promising his wife that he would bring three bags of maize to the house as long as she keeps her mouth shut about the ordeal, however the granny went ahead and reported the matter to Namizana Police for intervention.” Mpinganjira said.

James Bolodala Saulosi hails from Chulu Village, Traditional Authority Mabvwere in Mchinji.
