Coaches Association of Malawi is planning to summon Malawi National Football Team coach Patrick Mabedi following the team’s poor performance in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Malawi suffered a 3-2 defeat to Burundi at home and a 3-1 loss to Burkina Faso in Mali, leaving them at the bottom of Group L with no points.

The Association’s general secretary Davie Mpima emphasised that it is not yet time to apportion blame as there are multiple factors to be examined.

However, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has not yet commented on the matter as the team has just arrived home yesterday from Mali.
