Chimwendo Banda Against Politicizing Chilima’s Death

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) General Secretary, Richard Chimwendo Banda has expressed his disappointment that some people are using the death of Dr. Saulos Chilima, who was the vice president of the country, as a political tool.
Chimwendo Banda made these comments during a political meeting held at the Ngwenya Sports Complex in Area 24, Lilongwe.
“It is my first time to witness President Chakwera crying at a time when Chilima left us. This shows that he was indeed affected by the death,” Chimwendo said.
He stated that it is inappropriate for some people to criticize the government using the death as a political weapon.
He added that Chakwera was not involved in Chilima’s death and that only God knows the truth.
