The high court has sentenced a murder convict Wyson Bannet Big to 36 years imprisonment after waiting for 6 years for his sentence.

The Sunday Times recently carried Bannet Big’s story which might have prompted authorities to set a date for the delivery of the sentence.

Bannet Big who was arrested for murder in 2007, has been at Chichiri Prison waiting for his sentence after his conviction in 2018 .

The development irked his lawyers and human rights activist who questioned the delay on sentencing of Big.

His co-accused was already handed life sentence in 2018.
