Wellington Chiponde, spokesperson for the department responsible for immigration, has confirmed the news that 210 Malawians are set to return to Malawi after being deported from South Africa.
This group contributes to a total of 490 people deported this month, following the arrival of 280 individuals through the Mwanza border last week.
Chiponde explained that the deportees face various legal issues related to non-compliance with South African immigration regulations.
He urged citizens to follow all required procedures when traveling abroad, including securing proper travel documentation.
The incoming deportees are from the districts of Mzimba, Mangochi, Machinga, and Balaka.
