Maranatha Academy student Owen Jelasi has emerged as top performing student in the just released results of 2024 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination.
Jelasi has scooped 8 points.
The School’s Managing Director Dr. Ernest Kaonga has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to Kaonga, Hellen Thombozi is topping in the girls category with 10 points.
“Owen Jelasi for scooping 8 points and, therefore, emerging HIGHEST THE WHOLE MALAWI in the 2024 just-released MSCE results.
“Hellen Thombozi for scooping 10 points and being the HIGHEST GIRLS SIDE WHOLE MALAWI!!’ ,” said Kaonga in the statement.
He added: “Congratulations congratulations!! Sharda University full scholarship is waiting for you among other gifts!!!
“And Congratulations all Maranatha candidates who have passed!!! We are very proud of you!!! .”
A total of 177, 434 students sat for MSCE examination and 97,222 have passed representing 54.79 pass rate.
