Reports reaching our desk suggest that a minibus of the Quantam type with registration number PE 9687, and labeled “Bambo a tiwiri” at the back, which travels from Zomba to Lilongwe, has been involved in an accident at Lithipe 3 in Dedza District.

According to eye witnesses the accident occurred because the driver was speeding, which caused the vehicle to lose its rear tires and veer off the road, crashing into a roadside ditch.

The extent of injuries to the passengers is not yet known as the accident happened recently.
