The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has asked the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to rescheduled political rally in Mzuzu as it collides with the party’s rally set for September 21 at Katoto Ground.
Speaking during a media briefing in Mzuzu, DPP Vice President for the North Jappie Mhango having two rallies on the same day poses a security threats.
Mhango said DPP was the first to secure the venue in the North.
MCP is scheduled to hold its political rally at Ekwendeni in Mzimba while DPP will hold the rally at Katoto Ground.
Former President Peter Mutharika will grace the rally.
