United Transformation Movement (UTM) Presidential Aspirant Dalitso Kabambe has denied reports hovering on the social media claiming that he is funding the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Last week report were all over social media that Kabambe who recently dumped the opposition DPP continues to bankroll the party.
The report sparked debate with many claiming that Kabambe is an agent of DPP.
But in a statement Kabambe described the reports as fake.
“I would like to address the recent claims regarding a purported contribution to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) which is circulating that has been inaccurately attributed to me by an individual allegedly named Jappie Mhango. I want to make it unequivocally clear that ever since I left the DPP, I have never made any contributions to the DPP.
It is therefore, truly disheartening to see how some individuals are willing to spread false narratives and engage in character attacks and assasination. Such actions are not only repudiate but also immoraly wrong,” said Kabambe.
He added: “I find it unfortunate that there are those who would put personal grievances and malicious intent above truth and integrity.
“Let me reiterate, I have no affiliations or sponsorship with the DPP or any other party outside UTM, nor do I support the dissemination of misinformation about my character or my intentions.”
Kabambe is set to contest for Presidency in UTM at the elective conference set for November this year.
