A minibus caught fire today this morning 23 September 2024, in Bangwe, Blantyre, at Chikunda, while passengers were on board.
The incident caused panic, but fortunately, no lives were lost.
Viral footage circulating on social media shows the vehicle engulfed in flames, with no visible efforts to extinguish the fire. Witnesses report that all passengers managed to escape unharmed, quickly evacuating both themselves and their belongings from the scene.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are expected to investigate further.
