Reports reaching our news desk from Zomba indicate that Vincent Nyirenda, a final-year student at the University of Malawi’s Chancellor College, has been found dead.
Students Representative Council (SRC) President, Thanks Elia Mwalwanda, has confirmed the tragic development.
According to Mwalwanda, Nyirenda’s body was discovered at Chiperoni Mountain in a disturbing state.
The authorities have been notified, and Zomba Police are en route to the scene.
Nyirenda, pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Chemistry, went missing on Friday after leaving his hostel in Chikanda Township.
