Former President Dr. Joyce Banda who is also founder of the opposition Peoples Party (PP) is United States of America where she is scheduled to attend COP29 High-level preparatory meeting.
Banda confirmed of the development in a statement posted on her official facebook page.
“I was appointed into an Advisory Council of World leaders Advising the President of Azerbaijan who is hosting President of COP29 this year.
“Upon arrival, I was hosted to a dinner meeting where Amre Moussa Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Lofve Former president of latvia, Egils Levits Former PM of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija were in attendance,” reads in part the statement.
This year’s COP29 is scheduled to take place in November, Azerbaijan.
