Angry people last night beat and killed two men whom they suspected of stealing goats at Sorgin in Nsanje.

The local police spokesperson, Agnes Zalakoma, reported that the deceased were Emmanuel Nandilimbe, 35, and Offman Ndekha, 32.

Zalakoma stated that these individuals were arrested for the crime. “The angry crowd saw them wandering at the Sorgin market last night, so they apprehended them and began to beat them. They were taken to the hospital, where they unfortunately succumbed to their injuries,” Zalakoma said.

Emmanuel Nandilimbe hailed from the village of Nandilimbe in Tengani, while Offman Ndekha was from the village of Sorgin in the Mbenje area of Nsanje district.
