Classes were disrupted this morning at Mlambe Primary School in Machinga following commotion between Muslims and Christians over Hijab.
It is said that Muslims are pushing for the Muslim learners to be putting on hijabs at Catholic school.
But headmaster of the school Hammed Mponda denied that the chaotic scenes at the school started because of the hijab cloth.
Mponda said the Muslim learners are allowed to put on hijabs at the school.
But Paramount Chief Kawinga said the fracas happened due to the fact that some top officials at the school are involved iron sheet scandal.
