Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary General Dr. Clement Mwale is scheduled to contest as lawmaker in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
The development comes barely weeks after Mwale lost the SG post to former Inspector General of Police Peter Mukhito of sapepesa fame.
The party has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.
According to the statement, Mwale will contest on DPP ticket in Lilongwe City Kamphuno Constituency.
Mwale is now serving as an Advisor to former President Peter Mutharika who is also the torchbearer of the opposition DPP.
