A newly married man, Uzor Obinna Marvelous, sparked controversy by claiming that moaning during sex is a sin for Christian couples.
After his wife moaned for the first time, he took her for “deliverance,” and now she only hums hymns during intimacy.
He believes that moaning shows a lack of self-control and moral depravity, criticizing both men and women who do it.
Marvelous argued that men who moan likely visit sex workers and suggested harsh measures for women who invoke God’s name during sexual acts.
In a Facebook post, he described how loud moaning from neighbors disturbed an entire community, prompting a landlord to ask them to move out.
He insisted that men should never moan during sex, as it reflects weakness. Dismissing a medical professional’s advice that moaning aids intimacy, he concluded that those who moan are behaving carnally and encouraged others to report their partners to pastors for spiritual intervention.
