Police at Chingola in Zambia have arrested a woman who allegedly abandoned two infants at the residence of a police officer.
According to Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba, the incident occurred recently, prompting an immediate police response. The apprehended woman is expected to face charges of child desertion once formal procedures are completed.
Mweemba stated that the suspect intended for the babies to be taken to an orphanage, citing her inability to care for them. The police are currently conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
