A 35-year-old man, Henry Nyamtawa, has died after being hit by an ambulance at Kaombe junction in Nsanje District.

According to Nsanje Police spokesperson, Agnes Zalakoma, Nyamtawa was riding a Lifan motorcycle towards Bangula when he collided with an ambulance driven by Anderson Chuma, which was en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a patient.

Zalakoma stated, “Upon reaching the Kaombe junction, Nyamtawa collided with the ambulance coming from the opposite direction. He later succumbed to severe head injuries at Kalemba Hospital.”

Henry Nyamtawa hailed from Jambo Village under Senior Chief Mbenje in Nsanje.
