Government says it is waiting for the final report by the German investigators-BFU on the 10 June plane crash before considering instituting a commission of inquiry.

This comes after wife to late former Vice President Saulos Chilima, Mary, has asked Malawians to support calls for a commission of inquiry into the death of her husband.

Government spokesperson, Moses Kunkuyu has told Capital FM that the recent call by Mary Chilima is crucial but the final report will help to address some of the questions.

Various stakeholders including Civil Society Organisations and opposition political parties have been piling pressure for the government to institute a commission of inquiry into the tragic incident.
