In Mchinji, police have arrested Harrison Phiri, 20, and Junior Mwale, 31, who are suspected of killing Jossam Phiri and stealing a motorcycle and a Tecno Pop 7 phone.

According to Mchinji police spokesperson Limbani Mpinganjira, the body of Phiri was found on September 29, dumped at Estate number 55 belonging to Chief Gumba in the district.

Additionally, the two are also suspected of having killed Zambian national Adon Phiri, who was murdered in March of this year and whose body was thrown into a river, along with the theft of his motorcycle.

Mpinganjira stated that the suspects were found with a motorcycle of the Gatoma model that belonged to the deceased Adon Phiri.

“Zambian police have arrested another individual believed to have killed Phiri, who revealed the names of these two suspects as being involved in the crime,” Mpinganjira explained.
