Students from Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) under Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) wing on Monday met former President Peter Mutharika at his residence in Nyambadwe, Blantyre.
The meeting came barely a day after Mutharika attended the Mulhakho wa Ahlomwe Cultural festival at Chonde in Mulanje.
During the meeting, the students’ representative asked Mutharika to consider the plight of students in colleges once voted into power again next year.
The students accused President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of completely ignoring the plight of students in public universities.
The students also asked Mutharika to add more magnificent infrastructure at MUBAS as he did during in power.
The students cited the splendid infrastructure built by Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika administration at MUBAS which completely transformed the university campus.
