Former President Dr. Joyce Banda who is also torchbearer of the Peoples Party (PP) has promised to introduce free education in Secondary Schools once voted into power in the 2025 polls.

Banda said this as she was interacting with PP supporters gathered at Nkhamenya Trading Centre in Kasungu District yesterday.

In her address Banda said many children from poor families are denied access to education manly in Secondary Schools since their parents cannot afford to pay the said school fees.

Banda also went further to promises that once voted into power she will make-sure that there are drugs in all public hospitals across the country.

The former President is scheduled to face President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi Congress Party (MCP), former President Peter Mutharika and others at the polls.

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) will hold the general election on September 16, 2025.
