In a swift and decisive operation, Lingadzi Police in Lilongwe have apprehended three suspects linked to a violent robbery that occurred on 7 October 2024, near ECG Church in Area 47 Sector One.

According to Lingadzi Police Station Assistant Public Relations Officer Constable Glory Kondowe Ngwira, Gift Mtelemuka, 37, a Kabaza operator, was attacked and robbed of his motorcycle by three suspects, who used pepper to incapacitate him.
Following a meticulous investigation, Lingadzi Police recovered the stolen motorcycle and arrested suspects identified Josephy Chaoma, 38, from Jingasisi village, T/A Nkaya, in Balaka District.
Happy Stephanie, 27; and James Kapanda, 27, both from Mpaso village, T/A Chikowi, in Zomba District.
The suspects are currently in police custody, pending trial.
