
Courts, MAJAM meeting with lawyer Kamangilila postponed

The meeting that Magistrates and Judges Association in Malawi (Majam) slated for yesterday with lawyer Alexious Kamangila has been postponed to unknown date.
Lawyer Kamangila confirmed of the development through a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.
“MAJAM invited me to a meeting, as you are aware but later on communicated that the Judicial Officer who was supposed to Chair the meeting, is engaged.
“I was just invited, despite having so many questions, I thanked the leadership for communicating civilly. This meeting has therefore been postponed to a future date to be communicated by MAJAM,” wrote Kamangila.
Kamangila through a Facebook post accused High Court of Malawi Commercial Division Judge Kenan Manda of dirty dealing in a Commercial case Number 136 of 2024 involving Mukteshwar Sugar Mills Limited vs. Salima Sugar Company Limited.
The post forced Manda to sue Kamangila for defamation.
