Information reaching our news desk suggests that a shortage of petrol for vehicles has emerged in Nsanje district.
Further reports indicate that in fuel stations in Bangula, Tengani, and throughout Nsanje, only diesel fuel is available.
Currently, Chief Chimombo has urged authorities to take appropriate action, stating that the fuel shortage is disrupting operations in the district.
Findings show that petrol is being sold by some government-authorized vendors at a price of K5,000 to K6,000 per liter.
Senior officials from the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) have yet to comment on the situation.
More details to come…
