Two Dead, 30 Injured in Ntchisi Road Accident

Two people have died and 30 others were injured following a road accident in Ntchisi district happened yesterday  when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned.

Spokesperson for Ntchis Police station, Salomy Zgambo, confirmed the accident. One of the survivors, Grasswell Moses, stated that the vehicle was traveling from Dzoole in Dowa and heading to Mzandu in Ntchisi, where the passengers were attending a funeral ceremony.

Ntchisi District Health Officer, Dr. Alexander Chijuwa, reported that one person was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the other died at the scene of the accident. The injured victims have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
