A van lorry carrying assorted items has been burnt completely after it caught fire in Molipa hills in the eastern district of Machinga.
Liwonde police officer-in-charge, Ulemu Kalua confirmed of the accident on Wednesday morning, saying the fire emanated from a technical fault which the vehicle experienced.
Kalua said the driver and his assistant escaped with minor injuries.
He said the two were rushed to Machinga district hospital where they received treatment.
