A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) official, Hophmally Makande, has called on authorities to investigate the individuals responsible for the death of the late Director of Youth, Mabvuto Chimwaza.

He stated that everyone has the right to join any party, and the late Chimwaza had chosen the MCP, emphasizing that this is not a reason for others to harm him.

Additionally, the head of the MCP youth, Baba Malondela, expressed their heartbreak over Chimwaza’s death, stating that he was actively involved in the party’s outreach activities.

Malondela urged the MCP youth to stay strong, even though he believes the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious.

Chimwaza was found dead outside his house in Ndirande Township on Saturday morning.

Currently, his funeral ceremony is underway in Ndirande, and Minister of Information and Digitalization Moses Kunkuyu is attending the funeral at Nyambadwe Community Ground on behalf of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
