The body of Mavuto Chimwaza, youth Director of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) in Ndirande Township will be laid to rest today.
Chimwaza was found dead outside his house in Ndirande Township on Saturday morning.
Minister of Information and Digitalization Moses Kunkuyu is attending the funeral ceremony at Nyambadwe Community Ground on behalf of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Speaking at the funeral Kunkuyu expressed shock over the death of Chimwaza.
He however linked the death to the remarks made by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Governor for Eastern Region Daudi Chikwanje who urged DPP supporters to kill anyone seen putting on MCP regalia.
Kunkuyu has since urged the law enforcers to investigate and arrest the perpetrators.
