Police in Neno District have arrested one of four suspects who escaped custody at Zalewa Police Station.
According to Police Spokesperson Rabecca Msoliza, the suspects, who were wanted for various crimes, were due for a police bail hearing.
The arrested suspect has been identified as Innocent Banda, while the other suspect who are on run are Chimwemwe Frackson, Joseph Jubeki, and Madalitso John, all from Zalewa, under Senior Chief Symon.
Msoliza indicated that the arrest of one of the fugitives will assist the police in tracking down the remaining suspects, who are still at large. Investigations are ongoing to locate the other three individuals.
