The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is expected to commence the first phase of voter registration for the upcoming elections today.
The spokesperson for MEC, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, stated that everything is in place for this activity to begin.
This comes despite some opposition parties expressing dissatisfaction with how the organization is managing various aspects of the registration process.
The initial phase will take place over two weeks in Mzuzu, Nkhotakota, Ntchisi, Mulanje, Phalombe, Neno, Chiradzulu, Salima, Dedza, Machinga, Karonga, Balaka, and Chitipa.
