The Malawi beach soccer team lost to the Mauritania team with a score of 11 to 6 in Group B of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, taking place at Hurghada Beach in Egypt today. Sandram Saddi Usi scored four of Malawi’s goals.

The Mauritania team, which also defeated Senegal 5-2, has advanced to the semifinals from this group, while Malawi has been eliminated and will compete for 7th and 8th place against Tanzania, which has won all its matches in Group A against teams from Egypt, Morocco, and Ghana.

Malawi lost their opening match 4-3 against Mozambique and followed it up with a 6-1 defeat to Senegal.

The best-performing teams in this year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations will qualify for the Beach Soccer World Cup, set to be held in Seychelles in May next year.
