High Court Judge Kenam Manda has recused himself from a case involving Salima Sugar Company and and Mukteshwar Sugar Mills Limited.
Judge Manda has confirmed of the development in a letter made available to this publication.
Last month Judge Manda granted a court injunction Mukteshwar Sugar Mills Limited restraining Salima Sugar Company from using 2.3 million USD (approximately K5.3 billion) in its account pending conclusion pending conclusion of the case between the two films.
The injunction attracted mixed reaction with Human rights lawyer Alexius Kamangila accusing Judge Kenam Manda of pocketing something in the case.
The accusations which Judge Manda denied and sued Kamangila for defamation.
