Chikwawa Police Hunt for Suspect in Motorcycle Theft and Stabbing Incident

Police in Chikwawa have launched a man hunt for an assailant who seriously injured a motorcycle operator by stabbing him and went away with the motorcycle after pretending to be a customer.
Chikwawa Police Station Public Relations Officer Sergeant Dickson Matemba has identified the victim as Khefasi Ndeule 20, of Mkulo Village Traditional Authority Maseya in the district.
He added that yesterday, Khefasi went to Thabwa trading centre for his usual business and was hired by unknown person to ferry him to Kawaye in East Bank within the district then on their way, the customer produced a knife and stabbed him several times on the abdomen and at the back and went away with his motorcycle valued K1.1million.
Matemba further said, the victim was discovered by well wishers in a pool of blood and was reported to Chikwawa Police Station before being rushed to Chikwawa District Hospital for medication where he has been admitted.
