Information reaching this publication indicates that some supporters of United Transfomation Movement (UTM) have stormed Lingazi Police Station where the party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati is currently being held.
Kaliati was arrested this morning on suspicion of conspiring with others to commit a serious felony, according to a statement released by police spokesperson Peter Kalaya.
The first to arrive at the station was UTM Presidential Aspirant Dalitso Kabambe who once served as Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor.
He was later joined by Newton Kambala and some members.
