State Vice Dr. Michael Usi who is also United Transformation Movement (UTM) President has canceled the Nation Executive Committee (NEC) meeting slated for tomorrow in the capital Lilongwe.
Usi has attributed the cancellation to the arrest of the Party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati who is also vying for UTM Presidency at the elective conference.
According to Usi, the NEC meeting is very important and it will need every member of the executive to be available.
UTM is scheduled to hold its elective conference on November 17, 2024 in Mzuzu.
Kaliati has been arrested for allegedly conniving with three other people to commit felony, according to national police spokesperson Peter Kalaya.
