Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, has been arrested in South Florida and charged with murder-for-hire. He is currently being held without bond in Broward County Jail as federal authorities take over the case.
The arrest stems from an extensive investigation into the murder of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, who was killed in Los Angeles in 2022.
Authorities have linked Durk to a conspiracy involving a network within his OTF collective, which allegedly orchestrated this act of violence.
Alongside Durk, five other men have been indicted on charges related to the murder-for-hire scheme and the use of a machine gun.
Prosecutors claim these individuals were backed by resources from Durk’s label, with evidence including credit card transactions for flights and rental cars.
The prosecution further alleges that OTF offered music opportunities to anyone who could eliminate rival artist Quando Rondo.
