The Nigerian military has confirmed the deaths of 140 suspected terrorists and armed kidnappers during operations targeting Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), and various criminal gangs last week.

According to military spokesperson Edward Buba, these operations spanned multiple regions across Nigeria, resulting in the arrest of 135 additional suspects and the safe rescue of 76 kidnapping victims.

Despite ongoing military efforts, Nigeria continues to face challenges from armed groups, including frequent attacks on villages and schools, as well as rampant kidnappings for ransom.
