Secretary to the President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba has stated that the commission of inquiry established to investigate the Chikangawa plane crash is expected to submit its report to President Lazarus Chakwera before November 24, 2024.
Zamba made these remarks during the swearing-in ceremony of the 19 members appointed by the president last week. She emphasized that the law mandates the newly appointed members of the commission to take an oath before assuming their duties.
Zamba expressed confidence that the commission will fulfill its responsibilities and reveal the truth about what happened.
The swearing-in ceremony is currently taking place at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe and is being presided over by President Chakwera.
